Product Discontinuation Notice
after careful consideration, QIAGEN has decided to discontinue the production of the aLF Reader with May 30, 2021 as final date of order placement and June 30, 2021 as final date of delivery. We will continue to provide lifecycle and service support until June 30, 2026.
While we regret any inconvenience this announcement may cause, we are pleased to supply you with alternate reader solutions for rapid testing from our subsidiary company DIALUNOX GmbH. Feel free to contact us for further questions.
At DIALUNOX, we pride ourselves on the quality and availability of our technical support.
We don’t want to waste your time asking for long error descriptions or investigations or make you wait for spare parts to be supplied if you have an issue with your reader. We will ship immediately after receiving a notification from you that you need a replacement for your reader. The rest can wait!
Feel free to contact us with any issues via e-mail (email@example.com) or call us on +49 7771 9166252.
Frequently asked questions
Yes the aLF Reader is registered according to Annex III of the IVD directive (98/79/EC) as a general IVD within European Union.
We offer a service hotline (phone or email) that is available online from 8 AM to 5 PM on working days. Instrument replacement will be initiated within 24 hours of receiving your call.
Purchased devices get a 3 years warranty with free replacement in case of instrument issues.
The aLF reader provides the possibility to reduce the control burden:
The device daily performs a self-check using physical reference material and, by using an automated reader, misinterpretation of the assay results is avoided by removing subjective interpretation of the test bands. This can help you to reduce the frequency of control sample measurements from a twice a day to a weekly.
The aLF Reader itself contains an in-built self-check function, which is performed when turning on the instrument. This function checks the measurement performance of the reader and blocks further measurement in case of a failure.
If your system (reader + test) needs to be checked on a regular base depends on the application (in Germany according to RiliBÄK rules).
